Grade 1 walk to the Esplanade

The Grade 1 class went for a walk to the Esplanade today. While they were there they took a look at School Art 2012 with the artist Tracy Bultje.

The second picture is the one that surprised all the students. You mean that TV used to only have one channel and only in Black and White.
After the museum walk the students took part in an art class. A great feild trip right here in our own Medicine Hat downtown.

Instant Challenge

We cannot share much of our instant challenge but I can say that our Riverside Team made me proud. They used their Tribes agreements well and listened to everyone's ideas and then got to work. There are no pictures of this because every single team in our division does the same challenge, some don't do theirs until Saturday.We perform our long term challenge on. Friday.

Dii, Thursday

Yesterday was a very busy day here in Knoxville. We toured the campus. There football stadium is so big that when they have a game here Knoxville becomes the biggest city in Tennessee. After that we worked on our challenge. Putting our toy mobile was easy thanks Mr. Winkler!! Then the parents took the kids swimming so the teachers could go to our meeting. Again amazing pool. The opening ceremony was wonderful,exciting and spectacular. You need to see the pictures to understand.

What do you do on a hot day? At Riverside we go outside. Mr. Frey has the grade two students learning to bat; while Ms. Raimbault has the grade fives outside doing fractions.
