Derek Whitson Visits

Derek Whitson stopped by this afternoon to talk to the students about  how he got involved with sledge hockey and his experience at the Sochi Paralympics.  The kids were pretty thrilled to see his bronze medal, too.  Thank you, Tara and Derek!

Dragons Den Riverside School Style- gr 4,5,6

Today the grade 4,5,6 students worked with experts. Students had mini- confrences with local business owners to discuss their entrepeneur projects. The advice that these experts gave the students will help them with their project, budget, pricing and marketing. Students were so very proud of their prototypes and were able to explain the tinking behind why they chose that project/ how they made it. Thanks to Mrs. Da;zell, Mr. Charleton, Mr Staub, Mr. Plunkett and Mr. Minor for all the great advice and encouragement that you gave the student.
